My Amer. Herit. Dict. 5th Ed. says:
intr. v. To celebrate or carouse at a party or similar gathering: That night we partied until dawn.
Noun? Or verb?
If you use it as a verb, you should say “par-tay!”
I hate when someone is jumping around with the radio like that.
I would like to play rock and roll music all night and go to a party everyday.
i love thatamom’s look in the last panel, as if she is saying "REALLY, you have to correct him "??
Oh come on, today, any word can be verbed…
Thatababy is rockin hard for a little dude!
‘Rock and Roll All Night’ [KISS]; ’We’re An American Band’ [Grand Funk RR]; ‘Party Hard’ [Andrew W.K.]
Thatababy forgot " You got a fight, for your right, to paaaaaaaarty!!"
“Party” in this exact sense is about a hundred years old, and “party” as a verb meaning “to join a party or faction” goes back to the 1500s.
I thought Thatadad was part of the Kiss Army?
