The idea of tipping is getting out of hand. Really, service industry workers who get paid a tipping wage, i.e. a pittance plus tips, are the only one’s who should be getting tips. I’ll also include anyone who has to make a special effort to offer their services, such as delivery drivers, into that group. The person ringing up my groceries isn’t on the list, and neither is the guy behind the counter at the Auto-parts store. I might consider tipping if the service requires special skills and knowledge, such as a dog groomer, but not if I’m already paying a premium for that service. Sorry, mechanics. I’m already paying $150/hr for your services. No tip for you!

What’s your standard? Ten? Fifteen? Twenty? Or no? It’s hard for me to tip for pouring black coffee w milk in a cup. But I do. I got enough enemies…
