I just wish my dog could understand words at all. As a hunter for 6 years, she did not learn any words. There wasn’t any need for it. I adopted her at 6, and she’s just so well behaved it was a while before I realized she really doesn’t get words. It’s all noise to her. She seems to understand by tone and body language. Even so, she aced all of the therapy dog class, which is actually pretty advanced. She should have had several obedience classes first, but no one told me that and she was perfect during the assessment for her to enter the class. I honestly doubt she would have gotten much from obedience anyway. She doesn’t need it.
One time she went outside off leash while a neighbor accidentally held my door open too long and my dog decided, I think, to go pee on my lawn. He was trying to call her, and follow her, and I just walked back into the house. When she couldn’t see me anymore, she came right back in.
Buckles …… At least it’s Jill that met you and she has got, kind of a half smile ….. also remind her that your “DID” come back on your own …….. good luck ….. :)

No wonder Paul and Jill enforce these rules on Buckles, they’re for his own safety.

1 out of 5 beagles that got free, just moped around the house. The others ran off.
