Hawthorne the must eat something.

Why is Hawthorn concerned about the krill?

Sorry Hawthorne, but you just can’t trust birds.

I believe krill are above plankton on the food chain.

The krill can’t win for losing. They are too low on the food chain.

This has gotta be the first time that we’ve seen Hawthorne actually care about doing something to solve the problem.

I’m sure the krill are delighted they’re going to be saved. Yup.

Krill, especially Antarctic krill, are harvested for to make a ‘fish-oil’ supplement as well as fish feed projects for farmed fish. There are concerns currently about over-fishing.

Actually, I believe penguins eat fish.

That’s probably the most important reason to save the krill: so much of the ecosystem depends on it to survive. Even if they don’t eat krill, they eat something that down the line, ate something that ate krill.
