Actually, in a marathon, it’s a good idea to pick up the pace a little half way through and then slow back down.
There have been some studies recently that show novices tend to go out too slow and prevent themselves from PRing, rather than too fast as the conventional wisdom would have it. Myself I always plan to take a lil break in the middle anyway.

Agree with Miss Plainwell. Sometimes a compliment at the right time brings benefits that exercise alone doesn’t.
Just noticed this about this arc. The kids are the detractors while the adults are the encouragers. In real life it’s typically flipped.
