I just got back from Washington D.C. My friends brought me to a fun new place called Puerto Rico distillery. Unfortunately I could not bring any samples home on my carry-on for the flight, however I picked up some P.R. coffee because YUM!
Silly me didn’t think things through though and my bag got pulled aside by TSA and inspected due to the coffee! I didn’t ask where he was from but the guard laughed when he saw the package, read the label before turning to say something to me in Spanish. Noticing I was a Spanish-illiterate he smiled, swiped it with a wipe (to test it was coffee, and not drugs) and sent me on my way with a “enjoy your coffee!”
In case anyone is curious here is the link to the distillery. We toured several in the area. Very scenic area and recommend it if anyone ever finds themselves that way:
Throughout my life, I had never really cared for the taste of coffee. Now that I am retired, I will occasionally drink coffee but only Maui coffee and I have to grind the beans myself. I add maple syrup and creamer. I can’t drink it black. Now tea – I love black tea, hot or cold and am a bit of a tea snob.

Many kinds of coffee lover out there, the question addresses only 2 of them
The first is a coffee snob, the second is a coffee addict
I think of coffee as my friend, with benefits

I knew I was an addict when I would drink instant coffee with luke warm tap water.

Obviously, Lennie falls into the latter camp, given his reference’s to Folger’s and/or Taster’s Choice :D
