I had to Google “Pork Scratching Spotter” since I had not heard of that before. Now that I know what it is, it makes the context of today’s comic even funnier, at least to me.

If he gets a job (Heaven forbid), he’ll get off the dole. Not a good thing.

Well, there was the mattress tester job, but Andy walked out before he could hear the details.

Everybody has something they’re good at.

I was always told to do 110%.

Pork scratching spotter seems like good job for Andy, he gets sit on his bum all day. Course he probably earns more from the dole.

Andy works hard at not working.

Cut him off! He’s able to work. If he won’t work, discontinue benefits…….just like millions in the US need to be discontinued.

Is it just me or is the job postings at the centre more humorous than the cartoon gag?

Is it actually failure if you’re not really trying to get a job in the first place?
