That’s like bringing a bazooka to a whiffle bat fight.

When a number of use used to rent a house near some woods, we used to take the chain saw into the woods to chop up fallen tree branches for the wood burning stove. We used to get nasty looks from people that must have thought we were going there to actually cut down trees.

Making his own lumber. First felling that tree that hangs over the neighbors yard. Then, a good long time to cure, etc. Don’t rush me!

Husband does no woodworking (and not much else either) without me. In our earlier years he would come and ask for me help. Now I am concerned about him using sharp tools alone. For some years he worked in wood making small items to sell plus he made us things for the house so he has big assortment of large power tools (including a lathe I bought him one Christmas) out there. (No cars in the garage, but it is full with the tools, lumber, outside Christmas decorations kept in the rafters, and so on.)
