Considering this is a Canadian strip. You do know we went to almost went to war with the British Empire because an American farmer in a disputed island on the San Juan de Fuca Straight shot a prize pig owned by a Hudson Bay Company farm: the Company Fort Settlement in Victoria Island had the British navy go in to arrest the farmer and the Americans sent out a Cavalry Regiment to protect the island. In the end no one got shot, except the pig. The island issue ended in arbitration by the Kingdom of Prussia, who awarded the island to the USA. Who in WW1 went to war against the German Empire. Life! Go figure!
