This one made me want to cry…seeing as I remembered my own father doing the same. Unlike Alice, though, I didn’t complain about my hat getting wet. I just remembered how strong he was to hold me there for what seemed forever….

Standing in front of the wave like that is really dumb.

Especially holding a child. Don’t do this, folks.

And while I’m at it, don’t fight rip currents. Swim just a bit to either side, and then swim to shore.

Oh, and never, EVER, grab an octopus underwater.

Petey is barefoot on the beach? Doesn’t the sand irritate his soles?

British beaches now have feces warnings. It’s due to their privatizing of water and sewage services. The investors took the money out instead of upgrading and repairing facilities. So now the sewage systems are breaking down and raw sewage is flowing into lakes and rivers.

Daddy Peter sacrifices himself to hold Alice above the Big Wave!

And she is so thoughtless as to complain that her hat got wet! Or, not so much thoughtless as totally and exclusively self-centered! Tsk, tsk!

Only My Hero, Petey, plays it safe….

I’ve always loved the artwork in this one—the multi-panel wave.
