I had a pet snake once. (I’m female and I like spiders, bugs – for the most part – and snakes, unlike many of my fellow females). It was only a little garter snake that I captured while away at camp one summer as a young teen. I let it go after a couple of weeks, mostly because I was going home and couldn’t take it with me.
