And, as Republican saint Milton Friedman said, corporations ONLY responsibility is to make as much money as possible. If getting rid of anyone or paying them starvation wages enhances the bottom line, that’s what they are required to do.
Throughout time it’s been art for art’s sake and the whole concept of the starving artist has centuries of history behind it. Not going to change overnight, unfortunately.
