I worked with industrial furnaces. The Beavermatic Integral Quench model had a single tone alarm. I liked to harmonize with it, sing a third or fifth above it.
I worked in crummy buildings. First beep of the fire alarm and I had my emergency bag and was out the door, down the stairs and well away from the building.
The day I applied at a job, the fire dept came for what could have been a very serious fire. That was my first clue to run, but I didn’t. got the job at a very dangerous company that payed extremely well.
Customers are supposed to life blood of retail. The world will end with us failing to take in each other’s laundry. A clothes encounter of the third kind .
