My brother gave me a great gardening hat for Christmas. It has a big flap in back to prevent sunburn on my neck.

Cat. Hat.

In French, chat chapeau.

In Spanish I’m El Gato in a sombrero!!

Everybody used to wear hats outdoors. Why? Because it makes sense. To me it is incredible to see the hatless crowds at sporting events. A baseball cap is a minimalist hat and provides minimal sun protection. All this sounds unnecessary until you wake up at 50 with skin like crepe.

Somewhere, there are social Justice warriors wetting themselves over a perceived stereotyping of Mexican sombreros…
