Did you all hear that there is a Hurricane headed for California? It won’t be too strong because our Ocean water is only 63 to 65 degrees. There will be some spill over in Vegas too. My plants could use some rain. They are calling for localized flooding.

I was more fearless as a kid and we had to go into Ontario, Crystal beach for the wild mouse as Fantasy Island was built later.

Dad went there in the ‘40s and rode the Cyclone, a most fearsome ride, to hear him tell it and he liked that sorta thing. He took us there in the ’60s and even though the wooden structure had been replaced with metal and tamed down a bit it was still fun. I remember going to Canuckia before all the East German style border crossing hassle started, post 911. I haven’t been back yet. Crossing the Peace Bridge was sort of an event. The Rainbow Bridge is a good cross too, I even did the walk over path one time.

I think the mice completed their job.

They played him like a cheap violin.

Who started this whole mice and cheeseIdea?

Ollie saw nothing, but Chez may have been a part of it. Started out on a nice hike yesterday until I could not find the cut off trail to the second lake I have been to many times in the past. Climbed up a few very steep mountains hoping to see it on the other side or find a cross country route but to no avail. Fell only once when wet leaves slipped out from under my feet. Frustrating as this second lake is only 15 minutes from the first and really a beauty. Mosquitos were thick , my new $15 head net is my best purchase this year.

Considering food in Canada costs 40% more than in the US, cheese must be a precious resource akin to gold or oil!

Oliver’s right. The mice should get a new job. Preferably one that doesn’t involve fooling perfectly innocent kittens in order to steal cheese. On another note, saw four sparrows while out walking today.
