How much mental health can you afford? If you can afford that much, you probably don’t have really serious problems. My wife became a psychotherapist at the age of 72. After all the internship time spent with people who have really serious problems , the idea is to spend the rest of your career dealing with the “worried well” – many of whom are just looking for a rent-a-friend.
