Save the cod! Drink the beer that it would have been battered with.

Liquid diet. That’s a winner.

Too late. She burned the beer.

A seven-course meal for Andy: 1 sack of potato crisps and a 6-pack of beer!!

There was a beer battered sod seen leaving the Rose and Crown last evening and Andy swears he had nothing to do with mushing his peas. Dilly! Dilly!

Compo in “Last of the Summer Wine” liked his mushy peas.

Figures.

Sounds good – just don’t burn it.

He’s on a liquid diet, on account of Flo’s cooking. Like he needs an excuse.

Batter fish? Beating up poor defenseless fish.

He’s going to get beer-battered peas, mushy chips and chunky cod if he doesn’t watch out.

If Flo gives Andy a substantial amount of the juice, the cod won’t be the only thing battered!

Beer battered cod? Never heard of that.

Sounds like a good dinner. Unfortunately, Flo will probably reduce it to a pile of ashes.

Sadly, it’s best when Flo announces what she is cooking. Because you frequently cannot identify it on the plate.
