Walmart put out their Halloween stuff in late August this year. Clayton doesn’t have a chance of holding off. BTW, not even October yet but they put their Xmas stuff out already.

There are already Halloween-based commercials on TV—before October even began!!

It’s his prerogative to look forward to the great pumpkin for as long as he can. I mean really, Pumpkin Spice stuff started two weeks ago.

Clayton should keep the teeth in next month, and call it Fangsgiving.

Let him have his fun. You are only young once and youth is fleeting…..

Some people are like that even as they age. Keeping the spirit of the holidays, no matter the holiday, helps many stay young. We decorate for the seasons and many holidays. This time of year can get busy.

Reminds me of a throwaway gag sign at the aquarium in an episode of “Futurama”. “August is Shark Week”.

I give myself a break from this strip for the month of October; the Halloween stuff is a bit overdone.

Yes, the heck of my birthday month is here – again. Never a normal birthday party as a child – out trick or treating for the party activity. Never a nice birthday cake – always vanilla cake, chocolate frosting, plastic fence, fuzzy cat, plastic jack o’lantern and cardboard witch on the cake. (Husband did not believe me about this – when I had to clear my stuff out of the family home when mom could not stay alone and it was to be sold, I handed him the box of cardboard witches and fuzzy cats from my old bedroom.

It kills him to not do anything for birthday – but that is what I want for it to be as close to a normal day as possible under the circumstances.
