Although Newton takes treats nicely, he wouldn’t have nibbled that bacon as gently as Rover does; after all, it’s bacon and the raptor inside him surfaces. (Newton has one toe that didn’t grow properly and the nail grows out looking a bit like a claw; hence, whenever he misbehaves, we say the raptor is surfacing.)
