Sometimes my dog gets too much sodium in the table scraps.

Cats have tasted BBQ, and they aren’t domesticated. Socialized, perhaps, but not domesticated.

It’s believed that this is how canines were made useful to humans and accustomed to being around us. The fact that they “guarded” their food sources was the payoff for the humans. A mutually beneficial relationship, through the ages.

Haven’t eaten barbecued meat in 20 years. I get all those fumes courtesy of my neighbors now. :(

ComeOn Kitty walked on a leash to the vets and would stop in front of the local BBQ joint. I would tell her we would stop on the way back from the Vets. On the way back she would sit down on the sidewalk while I opened the door and hollered “One Order of Ribs for the Cat.” They would bring them out to us, I would pay, they would take her picture as she sat out front and eat a few. We would take the left overs home for later.
