The different colors means the blue offspring is a brood parasite, a cowbird if in North America, where his actual mother snuck in an egg into the redbird’s nest. I’d kick the bum out too.

“If you think I’m gonna support you forever you’re cuckoo!”Actually there are many birds whose young are pushed out of the nest but hang around cheeping like babies hoping mom and dad will show up and feed them. Some of them have to be driven away, especially if the parent birds have new eggs to hatch.

It was way past time to leave the nest.
