The last phone I had like that, was turned into an art project by my wife. And it was working too.

I had an antique rotary dial phone in my office in Florida that worked great until the phone company switched to fiber optics!

When phones had cords, you didn’t have to watch out for texting idiots walking out into traffic.

Even better if it were connected to a party line.
