A pumpkin is an unlikely piece of loot for a squirrel—way too big to carry. The squirrels currently residing in my back yard prefer avocados, apples, oranges, peaches, and apricots … all of which I have growing in my backyard. I even get to eat one or two if I’m quick.
They don’t steal them at our house, they just eat them where they are…usually on the front porch. This despite a yard so full of black walnuts that I can’t walk through the grass.
