Actually lawyers are among the least likely people to sue on their own behalf. I got rear ended on my commute when I was practicing law. The car behind me knocked me into the car in front of me and it hit the car in front of it. The repairs on my car alone were ~$8000. The driver behind me admitted fault and his insurance paid. My car was never really the same and I couldn’t get full value for it at resale/trade in since I was required to state it was in an accident.
Get a dashcam. Not only for real accidents but accident fraud that is practiced by many. For example, they back up into you and then accuse you of rear ending them.
