True story…

Sometimes a traumatic crisis can mess up your usually “clear thinking.” I was having a heart attack. I knew what it was ’cause all the classic symptoms were there. Did I call an ambulance? No.

I summoned Uber. The driver showed up in less than five minutes. She asked me if she was going to drive me to some “fun” place on such a lovely Spring day. I named a hospital and asked to be taken to their emergency room. She did not lose her calm demeanor and proceeded to get me there promptly.

Here’s what happens when you walk up to the admissions desk and say “I think I’m having a heart attack.” A wheelchair materializes under you and you immediately get an exam and you meet your cardiologist… even if you’ve never had one before.

Take me with you!

That would be cool!

Ah, if only it were that easy.

Well, THAT didn’t take long

I remember when parents cautioned their children never to take rides with space alien strangers……..

Flying 10 light years for a fare is no excuse to be landing on somebody’s tree!
