Reminds me of the movie “Shaolin Soccer”. If you haven’t seen it, find the original Chinese version with English subtitles. The English dub version isn’t good, because they took liberties with the dubbing as well as digitally censored some parts (for example, the original version has a scene where the soccerball’s shock wave blows the clothes off all the players, but in the dub they digitally added underpants on everyone).

Who would uve thunk that Nate’s career to a guy named Ashley.

haha, i love how teddy has no silly hair or cap to show his surprise so he just gets an exclamation point! the cartooning in big nate, though it’s been following a formula for years, is still amazing. simple but SO grand!

I forgoy if Chester is on their team, but if he is, Ashley vs Chester direct faceoff would be so epic like a kaiju battle bro. Also part of me hoped we don’t end up seeing Ashley the same way as Chester but part of me wants to see him.

im guessing nate will have an excuse for not playing goaly?

I am a soccer player, and I have once broken a kid’s arm by shooting a soccer ball. I felt so bad! I bet Ashley LaBeef turns out to be really nice.
