You put him into the vase – then you pour him into the carrier.

I have found that standing the carrier on one end with the doorway upright, grabbing the cat, dumping her in butt first and slamming the door before she can pop out again, usually works. Catching her is usually the hard part. We have learned to close the bedroom door so she can’t hide under the bed!
