Whatever grinds your gears, folks!

Dogs generally don’t use litter boxes.

The 20th gear comment made me laugh.

My cats do that. I simply sweep up the litter and dump it back in the box.

Oopsie (former colony cat) does his business without a shower of liter. Diesel (6 month old) is like Sebastian (in pic, now gone) also liked to kick it out as well.

Somehow, Parker manages to clench the litter between his toes and shed it slowly all around the house. Yes, I’ve tried those litter mats; Parker jumps over them, still clutching the litter. Cats, sigh….

There are a variety of semi-enclosed litter boxes that greatly reduce this problem. You just lift off the cover for cleaning.

I use boxes that have 3 high sides, so there is basically one way in/out; keeps the escaping litter to a minimum. :-)

Although there are semis with 18th gears.

Sounds like the kitty I took care of at Petco for a couple hours today. She’s sloppy! But she’s sweet!
