If she’s anything like the one I had one night, she’s already dropped a good foot and a half by the time he finished that speech balloon. I resolved to move her to a corner where she’d be out of the way and could hunt flies to her heart’s content; grabbed the silk about six inches above where she had got to and severed the line. By the time I got her to the corner of the room, she’d already spun out over a yard of additional new silk and I’d had to sort of reel her in to keep her from getting to the floor before I could reattach it.
I don’t mind having them in the house, but I don’t want to walking square into a web in the middle of the room at 3am.

No worries. It won’t start dropping again until you bring out the curds and whey.

You won’t be cozy if your partner wakes up and sees what’s heading for her face. You’ll probably also be deaf from the scream.

I didn’t notice the spider until I went back after reading the comments. Wondered why he was talking to his sleeping bed mate like that.

A big spider caught a tree frog on the back porch. I’ve got a pic somewhere.

Why wait? I take action as soon as I see a spider.

Black and hairy, very small
Now he’s up above my head
Hanging by a little thread.
