We were on flooding watch in the house NJ. Every time it rained or snow melted, us kids had to get up every 2 hours (on rotation) to mop up the basement. Hated doing that, but it was the least painful option.

I still say the same stuff to my kids… and they’re now in their 20’s and 30’s… and yes, their reaction is pretty similar.

I can relate to that! Growing up we had a flooded basement. Up to the 7 th all my 45’s and78’s, books, etc!
