Gave Alice a good excuse to be dramatic.

I remember the days when we went out two and three times and stuffed our pillow cases with candy. So bad, so bad! ☺️☺️☺️

Did Petey get candy for his scathing commentary?

Showing my age… I remember the homemade popcorn balls, the candied and caramel apples, the fudge and brownies. Those were the day!

What’s wrong with Nougats?

The bat was supposed to be terrifying, not terrified… ☺

I always liked Halloween. We too would come home with a pillowcase FILLED with candy. My birthday is the next day, so my siblings would reach into the bags and give me a double handful of their haul and say Happy Birthday. Fond memories!

This is why I don’t go trick or treating as a scathing commentary on consumer culture, because…wait…did he say nougats? Where’s that Fed Ex box I had? There is still time!

I hosey the nougats!

I love a comic that has a really funny penultimate line that could happily be the final line—-but then has a last line that is hilariously sublime (sublimely hilarious?) and surreal. This is that comic!

Yes Alice, quite the state; state of self absorption. We know it well!

Petey’s scathing costume ended up protecting him from being pelted by candy.

Nougats? No gots.

The fifth panel, with all Alice’s candy in the air like space-junk, is the best.

We went to Boo at the Zoo. They were giving out Snickers and Twixt bars. I won’t eat either of those. BOO.

No sympathy for the Alice who will not pay attention to a brotherly warning. Instead, sympathy for Peter, unfairly demonized. Let the nougats fall where they may!

This family is soooo annoying! Maybe that’s why I like the strip so much, ha ha.
