Our furnace went out Friday. The furnace guy came today, but couldn’t fix it without a part. Our house has been around 56°F for four days and might be for another two weeks.
Didn’t actually lose the furnace several years ago, the whole area lost natural gas – so most all furnaces didn’t work. Solution: Turn on all the lights (and if you have LED bulbs in them you will need to hunt down some good, old fashioned, incandescent bulbs.) and use fans or central heating fan) to circulate the air/heat. Worked for us in a 1700+ sq. ft. house.. No, it wasn’t “tropical warm”, but we didn’t get cold, eitherl.Just another unexpected advantage of old technology.
