That Mutt’s a violent sort, isn’t he. Some of their dialog reminds me of George Burns and Gracie Allen.

I quit cigars. I don’t like cheap ones, and it gets expensive burning up a ten dollar (or more) bill a few times a week. I made an exception when I brought some Cuban stogies back from Scotland.

Why is Mutt carrying an umbrella in the rain?

In the old days, you could get two or three punchlines in one strip.
