I think ddl297 and drbee are right – anyone approaching Cathy with all that on the table would assume she was way too busy to spend time even saying ‘Hi’.
Thanks for the sunshine Lindz.coop. We had clouds and a few snowflakes yesterday but beautiful blue skies today. Still chilly at 20F but you can face into the sunshine to get your nose warm.
The “Pet Press” magazine, cookbook and the museum tote are fine. It’s light reading, and the subject matter — pets, cooking/food, and the arts (by way of the tote bag) — are much better conversation starters than a laptop and PDA would be. The former makes her seem a lot more approachable, whereas the latter tells everyone to leave her alone because she’s busy working and doesn’t want to be disturbed ….. which isn’t exactly the kind of message that (according to Cathy in yesterday’s comic strip) a “fabulous, available woman” like her should be conveying since she’s there to “see and be seen” by someone who could possibly turn out to be her next “true love.” (◔_◔)

Hi, rgcviper! :-) Just wanted to let you (and everyone else) know that the reason I don’t comment here as often as I used to is because my husband and I adopted two 10-week-old puppies over Thanksgiving weekend (that are now 5 months old) and they really keep me busy these days. It’s been a little over 20 years since I last raised a puppy and I had forgotten just how energetic and mischievous they can be ….. so while I’ve got double the love with two of them, I’ve also double the trouble when it comes to the naughtiness department, too (LOL)! So while I’m still around and read “Cathy” most every day, they’re pretty much the main reason why I’m here so sporadically right now. Maybe when they’re a little bit older, calmer, and better trained, I’ll be back to commenting more often again. But thank you so much for your concern, dear friend. I really appreciate you looking out for me! ( ˘ ³˘)♥
