You’re doing it all wrong. Take your feathers off and get naked before you climb in to soak in the tub.

I get next Thursday off. Normally I would be up at dawn to smoke the turkey.

It is worth the effort but there are some problems:

One is the amount of time it takes to cook it which is imprecise but at least twice the time it takes in an oven.

The other is that the chef winds up smelling of smoke and has to take a shower before sitting down to eat.

The main problem is that someone intercepts a pass in the end zone and runs it all the way back for a touchdown while you’re adding more wood to the fire.

I think Bob forgot one thing….defeather before brining!
