Ha! That’s a good one! Now is it true or a sneaky way of getting past Rose without a pass?

Rose is not buying it.

ok hang on – rose is checking for hall passes, which means it must be classtime. so why isn’t SHE in class? do you get to skip class if you’re a monitor just so you can stand in the hallway and very occasionally check to ensure some student roaming the halls has permission to be there?

WHAT?

Back in the day, hall passes were oversized so the monitor could immediately tell if you had one..

Rose: “Why did you do that?”

Wallace: [Loudly] “Because when I stuck it in my nose I couldn’t breathe.”

And that’s why they call it “Doh!”

So Rose changed to lower case lettering for all but the first letter of Wallace. So I guess she got quieter to counter the screaming.

What class is Rose skipping to be hall monitor?

As a kid, I got as far as M&M Peanuts in my nose. But there’s still time to try the Play-Doh in the ears experience. You’re only old and eccentric once. Maybe a new yellow nose… Two empty Play-Doh cans and some string for phone?

Thing is, knowing this kid, that could totally be a valid explanation.

Play “dough?!” He just kneeds to get it out!

She most definitely takes her job seriously…..

I love how if you look up the recommended age for Wallace the Brave it will say 7-12. Everyone that reads the comic on this platform is over that age.

Smartkid or dumbkid but definitely a funkid.

Now, don’t you worry, Wallace! Even if you can’t hear too well, you’ll – eventually – get to the Nurse’s Office. Just remember the old jingle:

That explains why he’s yelling!
