Nancy: Oh, dear---It's starting to rain. And me with my new dress on. I HATE RAIN.
Aunt Fritzi: Don't say that---Rain makes things GROW.
Nancy: OH, YEAH?
Reminds me of the time when I bought a new pair of Oshkosh overalls for my Dad. I wasn’t real sure about the size, but seemed to fit well enough for his rather stocky frame — until after the first time he washed them. Afterwards he told me that “they wasn’t kiln dried.”
