Weight is just a number.

It just occurred to me that Ziggy is one of the few adult male comic strip characters who would have to look up if he was talking to Tabby (from Adult Children). Happy New Year Zig!

Once you’re old you’re not growing any longer – except for growing older of course. So, WEIGHT for it…

If only it were that simple. You shrink a couple inches as you get older which is unfair, the last thing I needed was to lose 2 inches in height. So now I wish I could add 6 inches to my height. But that’s not possible, sigh!

Depending on your source, the average American gains somewhere between 0.8 and 8 lbs (0.36 – 3.6 kg) over the holidays. That averages out to 4.4 lbs (2 kg). The population of the US is about 335 million, so that comes to 1,474,000,000 lbs (670.000.000 kg) that people gain. That’s 670 thousand metric tons of fat!
