I always remove the drawstring from my sweatpants.

Now she gets strangled by snagging the pearls on something.

That last panel makes me want to say,

“If you keep your mouth shut, you won’t trip over your tongue.”

It isn’t the tie string on sweatpants that’s the problem so much as the length of the legs, and you can’t do anything about those unless you want to go to a tailor.

Can’t help him with the sweatpants, but after years of running frustration I learned the secret to never having shoelaces come untied. After tying the standard bow, take the two loops of the bow and shove them up under one of the lacings far up over the tongue of the shoe. With the bow loops tucked under a lacing, they never come undone. Seems hard to believe, but it works – try it! I’ve never had to re-tie my shoes in the middle of a run since!

Raph’s sweatpants tie would not have that much surplus length to dangle!

Can’t believe in all this time that hasn’t happened to Norm yet. In Ralph’s case, it a good thing he has that gut to cushion the blow.

I asked for new sweatpants for Christmas this year. They’re not as bad as Ralph’s, but they are wearing out.
