My doggie, Ellie, loves to play fetch. She’s run the toy down, grab it, and take a victory lap. But, she won’t let me toss it again. Fortunately, there are other toys nearby.

What’s Jon busy doing that Garfield is the only option?

We have a cat that will play fetch.

Anything that involves physical exertion Garfield doesn’t want to do!

I don’t picture Garfield ever wanting to play fetch.

When it comes to the exercise of fetching, cats will always watch you do the fetching almost every time when you appear to be playing with them. This happens when I try to play with my cat, 8 years old, with one of her soft toy balls. She loves watching me fetch while she lies there washing herself!

Bribe Garfield with a Pizza, Odie, that would get him to play fetch with you.

Garfield would rather do the tossing, the fetching, not so much.
