Good luck with that, sweetie. The squirrels are lighter than you — they’ll just run out onto the small branches and chatter their insults at you. If you know Sciurese you’ll be really upset at what they call you.

I’m surprised that the dog was able to get that far up the tree.

My cat used to sit at the base of the trees and make squirrel sounds until they came within reach. No one believed this until my uncle watched it himself.

Nice to have an encouraging friend with a different perspective.

OK, this cartoon looks silly, but I’ve actually watched a groundhog climb a small tree, and then out on a big limb to get at a fruit or nut (couldn’t tell from the distance). That was weird.

They always said his bark was worse than his bite.
