A friend of mine tore down his sagging 1 car garage & replaced it with a 2.5 garage. This was a neighborhood with lots of on street parking with few garages. Most of his neighbors just shrugged their shoulders. Several wanted to rent space as he only had one car. A couple wanted to park their second car off the street, one wanted to store his snowmobile & trailer. One lady wanted to use the space to store “stuff”.My friend just said “no”. The woman he was seeing wanted to park her car indoor. Eventually she moved in before finally they got married.

THAT is one of My MAJOR pet peeves: “folks” who use their garages to store JUNK instead of their vehicles. ;-)
