It’s just not the same and just doesn’t feel quite like home when mom’s gone does it?

:-D wow! Looking at the pile of dirty dishes you would think she would be gone for several weeks by now.

It was Mac ‘n’ Cheese when I was a kid…….

When you make it dirty … You make it clean … Stop being Lazy ;-)

It’s tough when the maid takes a day off.

I can’t believe the kitchen in the background of the last panel! Even as a bachalor living on my own I could never let my kitchen get like that!

Looks like he had the guys over last night.

How sad!

He better clean that mess before the Mrs gets back.

Let’s put it down to these being from the 60s or so…

There is an Andy Griffith episode where Aunt Bea goes to help a sick relative. Just before she returns, they clean the house. Long story short… she is sad to see the clean house because she feels unneeded. Seeing that episode I think “BS!!!”

Growing up Dishes were done after every meal …… even if it was midnight ….. even now (almost 72) I can’t go to bed until all dishes are washed ….. :)

@silberdistel- It’s a shame that even in these days and times, men still don’t know how to take care of themselves!

My husband cooks so he is good with feeding himself but the dishes in the background look familiar. ;-)
