Uhm, Will, I hope you are stating that “deer” is food. Not that Kenny misused your food bowl. Oy

When my dog see’s a deer outside she goes nuts, I have to let her go chase it off the property, she’s very territorial. She bites them on their legs.

I’ve had venison; in stew, as chili & cooked on a cedar plank over an open fire, after having been marinated in juniper berries & “secret ingredients”. They were all good, but, I’d not go out of my way to have them. My family have never been hunters, we’re solidly blue collar worker force, out of the farmer’s end of life, so, venison was a new one for me.

Just get a hunting license, a bow or shotgun, sit in a tree for hours, kill it, gut it, and process it, and whoa la you have venison.

nature is beautiful and harsh. A pet dog can play with a deer but in a pack they will just as easily kill it and eat it. Wild canines don’t bother to kill it first.
