Ugh. I remember watching that Oilers/Bills game all too well. What was really funny was when Tennessee decided to wear the Oilers throwback uniforms when they played My Beloved Texans, who ended up beating them anyway.
The Astrodome is in purgatory due to the Houston Texans and the Houston LiveStock Show & Rodeo thwarting attempts by the Houston Sports Authority, City of Houston, Harris County and the good citizens of the area to convert the structure into something of value and purpose.
I didn’t have any problem with the Titans wearing the throwback uniforms. They were the Oilers, so they are honoring where they came from. Houston got a brand new team. Chillax, people.
Not on your life, Hogg (Hinds) – the Astrodome is ours and we’re gonna keep it. I’ll be working right up next to it during rodeo along with my memories of rodeos, Astros, UH football games and everything BUT the Oilers, since I’d never been to a game – it was even too expensive for poor folks back then (like it is now).
The Astrodome was built in t he first place because the Colt 45’s first outdoor stadium was deemed unplayable due to summer heat and loads of mosquitos

Next talk to a Baltimore Colts fan. At least The Ravens were forced to leave all the Browns baggage in Cleveland

What’s funny about the Astrodome is how tiny it looks next to the new indoor stadiums
