Even from long ago, we have copied so much from birds because they are so inspiring. Take flight for example. Ovid’s Metamorphoses, the ancient Roman poet wrote the story of Icarus. More recently, a few of the first attempts at airplanes actually had flapping wings! Go to Lets Talk Science for more interesting examples. Specifically, “A History of How Humans Learned To Fly”. We have so much more to learn from birds, still.
