On TV this would have a line for music drowning out dialogue.
OTOH much of today’s dialogue is worth missing.
To be fair I find that’s true of life as well.
True for TV, yet not nearly so bad at the movies! Why??
Thank goodness for subtitles. My ears can’t keep up with the sound changes.
Sometimes the volume change is loud enough to set off my startle reflex, and I am wide awake and watching what’s going on.
