I hear music in my head all the time. I love to carry a tune with me & it varies according to what I’ve been listening to, or watching. There’s quite a bit of Vivaldi, “my” music from the 70’s, and, lately, the music from “The Book of Boba Fett”. That’s b/c it is one of the most striking, original, totally fitting pieces of music for a TV show that I’ve heard in a long time! Go figger.
Different is good. Without differences, what a boring world we would be living in! Rhythm is in ALL things, pick a tune, dance just because you can : )
I Hope You DanceSong by Lee Ann Womack and Sons of the Desert
I hope you never lose your sense of wonder,You get your fill to eat but always keep that hunger,May you never take one single breath for granted,God forbid love ever leave you empty handed,I hope you still feel small when you stand beside the ocean,Whenever one door closes I hope one more opens,Promise me that you’ll give faith a fighting chance,And when you get the choice to sit it out or dance.
I hope you dance… I hope you dance…
I hope you never fear those mountains in the distance,Never settle for the path of least resistance,Livin’ might mean takin’ chances, but they’re worth takin’,Lovin’ might be a mistake, but it’s worth makin’,Don’t let some Hell bent heart leave you bitter,When you come close to sellin’ out reconsider,Give the heavens above more than just a passing glance,And when you get the choice to sit it out or dance.
I hope you dance… I hope you dance.I hope you dance… I hope you dance.
(Time is a wheel in constant motion always rolling us along,Tell me who wants to look back on their yearsAnd wonder where those years have gone.)I hope you still feel small when you stand beside the ocean,Whenever one door closes I hope one more opens,Promise me that you’ll give faith a fighting chance,And when you get the choice to sit it out or dance.Dance… I hope you dance.
I hope you dance… I hope you dance.I hope you dance… I hope you dance.
(Time is a wheel in constant motion always rolling us along,Tell me who wants to look back on their yearsAnd wonder where those years have gone.)
I dance like the actor Herbert Marshall. He is still an inspiration due to his recovery from his war injuries. I followed up my PT with dance and spin classes, but switched to a recumbent bicycle because it’s just easier.

Great advice. We should all dance whether there is a reason or not. It releases all of those endorphins that make us happy and energetic.

Dance as if no one is watching. Except a well-equipped EMT or two.

My feet and knees don’t want to cooperate, so I believe I have perfected twirking in place, from my chair, when the the mood and music is right.

I’ve never understood the appeal of dancing, or of music for that mattter.
