Cosmo isn’t in the least afraid of work, he can go to sleep right beside it without any problem.
Even with Cosmo’s on-the-job sleeping, he still puts out more copy than Shoe. That’s probably why the Perfessor keeps his job.

He could fall asleep for 40 years, wake up, and the news would be the same. Only the names and places would change.
Whoever that is that’s visiting, he looks as disheveled as Cosmo.
He receives revelation in his sleep.
Why doesn’t Shoe dock his pay? I had a college professor that didn’t care if you slept in class. He would just mark you absent.
