The point of going on vacation was not to eat chametz, the point was to get out of having to clean it out of the house (and skipping the endless Seders that don’t end until 2 a.m.)
It’s a matter of discipline. If you’re a believer, if you practice any faith that requires you practice certain doctrines than if you are truly about that faith, you practice it whether you’re on vacation or not. You can’t turn it on or off. If you can abstain from certain foods to train, or for health reasons, why is it so hard to do it for your faith? Muslims fast for what, a month. He can’t give up bread for a week? Len is weak.
